Vanbur, Of Becoming

A collection of album and single artwork created for the release of Vanbur's stunning first studio album Of Becoming. Described by Mary-Ann Hobbs as ‘hauntingly beautiful’, Vanbur commissioned me to create a series of artwork that reflected the passage of time. The result is a collection of painterly images of the changing light from the windows of one room, all taken over the course of a single week. Working alongside graphic designer Torsten Posselt, the images formed the basis for the album and single artwork for the release. 

Alongside the artwork, I also created a collection of album teasers for the release. These one-shot mini-narratives, each set to a different track from the album and each one opening on the image of a different window, were used to seed the album launch on online.
